BELIZE DISTRICT

KEPT PROHIBITED FIREARM

On the 19th of September 2017 at 7:45pm, Belize City Police was conducting mobile patrol on George Street when they stopped and searched Santiago Victor ROMERO Jr., 23-year-old of a Libertad Village address, which led to the discovery of a Remington Automatic .45 caliber pistol. Police have since arrested and charged ROMERO for the offence of Kept Prohibited Firearm.

FOUND PROPERTY

On the 19th of September 2017, Belize City Police conducted Anti-Drug operation in the Belize District which led to the discovery of 901 grams of Cannabis, 0.5 grams of Crack Cocaine, (15) GFL .38 Live ammunition and (1) glass pipe 6 inches in length. Items were deposited as Found Property.

HOUSE FIRE

On the 19th of September 2017 at 12:20pm, police responded to information received of a house fire on back street, Mahogany Heights, where they visited the area and saw a bungalow structure engulfed in flames. Initial investigation revealed that on the said date at around 12:15pm, the house was on fire and was unoccupied at the time. Fire personnel extinguished the fire and made a preliminary inquiry of their finding as undetermined. The house is the property of Joy DOUGAL, 37-year-old of Mahogany Heights. Police are investigating.
