ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

GRIEVOUS HARM

On the 24th of August 2017 at about 12:17pm, police visited the Northern Regional Hospital where they saw a 15-year-old minor of San Jose Village, Orange Walk District, suffering from a cut wound on top of his head and left arm. Investigations revealed that the minor was heading home along with a female when he was approached by one, Ronald REYES, who inflicted a chop wound to the minor. He was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital and then to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a critical condition. Police are investigating.

BELIZE CITY

MURDER

On the 24th of August 2017 at about 4:40pm, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw the body of Windell GIBSON, 26-year-old of Lawrence Avenue, Belize City, with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Investigation revealed that GIBSON was walking on Lindo’s Alley when two male persons on a motorcycle fired several shots at him. Karon SANTOS, 24-year-old of Pomona Village, who was nearby was also injured. He received a gunshot wound to the left upper arm and is listed as stable. Police are investigating.

DANGRIGA TOWN

DANGEROUS HARM

On the 24th of August 2017 at 7:30pm, police visited the Southern Regional Hospital and saw Japhet CASTILLO, 17-year-old Student of Dangriga Town, who had a stab wound to the left side of his stomach and cut wounds to both arms and right shoulder. He is listed as stable. Investigation revealed that CASTILLO was involved in an altercation which resulted in his stabbing. Police are looking for one, Nisanie ARANA, as investigation continues.

PUNTA GORDA TOWN

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 24th of August 2017 at about 12:30pm, police conducted a search at the residence of Saturnino Demetrio TRAPP, 28-year-old of San Marcos Village, which led to the discovery of two parcels of cannabis weighing 800 grams. TRAPP was arrested for Drug Trafficking.
