GRIEVOUS HARM

On the 14th of July 2017 at about 8:00pm, Edward QUILTER, 52 year old Belizean Laborer of 10 miles Phillip Goldson Highway, reported that on the 14th July 2017 at about 11:00pm, he was walking on Egbert Quilter Avenue in Ladyville Village and upon reaching in front of a shop he was approached by two hispanic male persons. One of whom was holding a black pit-bull dog and a silver object resembling a firearm. One of them then hit him with the object several times to the head and face causing him to fall to the ground. QUILTER was issued with a medico legal form and escorted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where his injuries were classified as that of Grievous Harm. Police investigation continues.

ROBBERY

On the 24th of July 2017 at about 12:30pm, Police visited #6391 Tibruce Street where Deslou LI, 41 year old Naturalized Belizean, reported that on the said date at about 12:20pm, he was at his shop namely, Ying Li, located at the above mentioned address, when a male person wearing a white t-shirt covering his face entered the store. The person was armed with what appeared to be a 9mm pistol and demanded money from him. Fearing for his life, LI then handed over an undetermined amount of money. The perpetrator then made good his escape. Police are investigating.

CITY OF BELMOPAN

SEXUAL ASSAULT

On the 24th of July 2017 at about 6:48pm, a 15 year old minor of Belmopan City reported that on the said date at around 4:00pm, she was at home when a male person grabbed her from behind and hugged her demanding a kiss. She managed to escape from her attacker. Police have one person in custody whilst they continue their investigation.

SAN IGNACIO TOWN

THEFT

On the 24th of July 2017, Robert GUZMAN, 33yrs, reported that between 7:00am and 1:00pm on the said date, his license .380 Taurus brand pistol SN 44116A was stolen from the glove compartment of  his white Toyota corolla  L/P SI C 06043 that was parked on Loma Luz Blvd Santa Elena Town. Police are investigating.

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

On the 24th of July 2017, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Marlon PETERS which revealed the cause of death as “Cerebro cardiac thromboembolism due to bilateral pneumonia due to acute cerebral edema due to blunt force head trauma”.
