COROZAL DISTRICT

THEFT

On the 5th of July 2017 at 5:30pm, Linda CABRAL, 65-year-old of Progresso Village, reported that sometime between 5:00pm on the 3rd of July 2017 and 4:00pm on the 4th of July 2017, someone stole a 9.9 outboard motor engine from a 16-foot Fibre Glass Skiff that she owns and an outboard engine which was on a 12-foot Fibre Glass Skiff. Both skiffs were docked at Little Belize, Progresso Lagoon. Police are investigating.

LADYVILLE

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Teresita LESLIE, 55-year-old Businesswoman of George Price Highway, reported that between the hours of 6:00pm on the 4th of July 2017 and 7:45am on the 5th of July 2017, someone stole her silver colored 4-door, 2011 Ford Explorer SUV bearing license plate BCC 57877, while parked on the street side in front of her residence. Police investigations continue.

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

On the 6th of July 2017, police responded to report in the San Pablo area and visited a house on Hope Street where Kelli RICO, 53-year-old Manager of corner Hope Street and Sting Ray Drive, in the company of her father, DOYLE HARRIS, 75-year-old Retiree, reported that on the 6th of July 2017 at about 6:30pm, they arrived at home and were about to have supper when a person kicked opened their door and pointed a handgun at them. A few minutes later a female entered and relieved her father of two diamond rings, a gold necklace with a gold US coin medal and two knives. They were then locked in the house as the perpetrators made good their escape. Police are investigating.

CITY OF BELMOPAN

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

On the 5th of July 2017, police visited the Western Regional Hospital where Axel IBARRA, 32-year-old Guatemalan Chef, reported that sometime around 4:30am, he was inside his room in Roaring Creek village when two male persons entered and started to punch him to the face and then inflicted several chop wounds to his head. IBARRA reported that he recognized both male persons to be Jose JUAREZ and Richard TRAPP of St. Mathews Village. IBARRA further stated that he fell and TRAPP started to stomp on his face. Both assailants then searched his pockets taking $400.00. Both men then made good their escape. Police have since detained 30-year-old Jose JUAREZ and 34-year-old Richard TRAPP, both Construction Workers of Saint Matthews Village, pending investigation.

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

On the 5th of July 2017 at 11:30pm, Hugh LAMB, 60-year-old Farmer of Ontario Village, was in bed when he heard someone call out his name, upon making checks he saw a female whom he recognized. They had a conversation and thereafter, she reportedly ran into his room and took his 12-gauge double barrel shotgun, ran back outside and met two male persons. One of them reportedly hit him with a metal pipe. He then ran away and noticed one of the men firing several shots in his direction. All three persons made good their escape with the 12-gauge shotgun. Police are investigating.

FOUND PROPERTY

On the 6th of July 2017 at 7:30am, Belmopan Police conducted an Anti-Drug Operation within Camalote Village, where they found a black plastic bag containing 924 grams of cannabis in an abandoned lot. It was deposited as found property.
