COROZAL DISTRICT

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 26th of June 2017 at 4:28pm, police were conducting mobile patrol in Corozal Town and followed a green Toyota Corola taxi where they saw two male persons exited the taxi at a restaurant. The taxi then left the area and parked at 8th Avenue where police conducted a search of the taxi. In the taxi at the time of the search were Marlon BELTRAN, Belizean Taxi Driver of San Antonio Village, and Gino AYUSO, 29-year-old Belizean Sales Clerk of Paraiso Village. The search led to the discovery of a school bag which contained 1,308 grams of cannabis. Also in the backpack was a temporary border permit belonging to Moses PUCK, 22-year-old Belizean Laborer of Paraiso Village. Police have since detained Moses PUCK and Rutilio ARTIGA, Belizean Security of Paraiso Village. All four male persons were detained pending charges of Drug Trafficking.

BELIZE CITY

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

On the 26th of June 2017 at 7:30am, Kendrick FLORES, 35-year-old Belizean Construction Worker of Belize City, reported that between the hours of 4.00pm on the 25th of June 2017 and 5.30am on the 26th of June 2017, his 2015 white and red Sky go Brand motorcycle bearing license plate MC 3881 was stolen from under his verandah. Police investigations continue.


Juan Jose MARTINEZ, 45-year-old Belizean Construction Worker of a #6351 Scabbard Street, Belize City, reported that between the 23rd of June 2017 at 10:00pm and the 25th of June 2017 at 6:00am, his black 2014 Skygo brand motorcycle was stolen from his yard. Police investigations continue.
 
On the 25th of June 2017, Shelton GRAHAM, 34-year-old Belizean Bailiff of #5722 Vasquez Avenue, reported that between the hours of 10:00pm on the 24th of June 2017 and 8:30am the 25th of June 2017, someone stole his Black and Silver Honda GLH 2015 motorcycle with license plate #MC4165 from in front of his residence. Police investigations continue.
 
ROBBERY


On the 26th of June 2017 at 3:00pm, Wanlan FAN, 27-year-old Belizean Businesswoman of Mahogany Street, reported that on the 25th of June 2017 at 12:30pm, while in her store - Tow Tow - located on Mahogany Street, she saw a male person with a rag over his face and with what appeared to be a firearm. The person entered the store and stole $200.00bcy from the cash register. Police investigation continues.
 
BURGLARY

Nidia DOMINGUEZ, 58-year-old Belizean Businesswoman of Rhamdas Street, Belama Phase 3, reported that sometime between the hours of 6:25am and 2:15pm on the 26th of June 2017, her four-bedroom bungalow house located at same address was broken into. Stolen from inside were: assorted jewelries, electronic devices, travel suitcases, (1) Black in color 9mm Glock 17c pistol, (2) black Glock (17) shooter magazines, (1) box of Ruger brand 9mm live rounds of ammunition, assorted flashlights and earmuffs. Police investigations continue.
