COROZAL DISTRICT

ROBBERY

Avinash DESHMUKH, 34-year-old Indian National Store Manager of Corozal Town, reported that on the 23rd of June 2017 at around 1:20pm, he flew from Ranchito Village via the 1:30pm flight to San Pedro Town - leaving his silver 4-Runner parked in the parking lot. The flight arrived in San Pedro around 1:55pm, there he collected wholesale and retail proceeds from the store amounting to about $22,000.00 US dollars and about BZ$10,000.00. He then reportedly took the 5:00pm flight back to Corozal. After getting off the plane in Ranchito; he walked over to his vehicle and he noticed a grey 4-Door car parked behind his vehicle. As he reportedly opened his vehicle, two male persons, one armed with a hand gun, jumped out of the vehicle and robbed him of the back pack containing all the money. In the process he was reportedly hit to the head causing a cut wound to the top of his head. Police are investigating.

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 23rd of June 2017 at 12:20pm, while police were on mobile patrol they stopped and searched a male on a black LIFAN brand 150 cc Motorcycle who was along with Nuri Mairani LOPEZ, 21-year-old Housewife of Guinea Grass Village. Nuri, while being escorted to the station, was seen dropping an object to the floor of the police vehicle. The item was retrieved which turned out to be a transparent plastic bag containing 5 grams of Crack Cocaine. Nuri Mairani LOPEZ was detained for Drug Trafficking.
 
LADYVILLE VILLAGE

THEFT                           

On the 24th of June 2017 at around 6:23am, James WOLVERSON, 36-year-old Manager at Bacab Eco Park, visited the Ladyville Police Precinct and reported that on the 23rd of June 2017 at around 3:50pm, he was at his work place at Bacab Eco Park when he decided to use the restroom and placed his black 9mm Glock 19 Gen 4 pistol on the floor beside him. About half an hour after returning to his work spot, he realized he did not have his weapon and when he went to make checks in the bathroom the weapon was gone. Police are investigating.

BELIZE CITY

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

On the 24th of June 2017 at around 1:05am, police visited an area on Marine Parade in Belize City, near the SCA Auditorium, where Luis OCHOA, 36-year-old of Ladyville, reported that sometime between 8:30pm on the 23rd of June 2017 and 12:30am on the 24th of June 2017, his grey Isuzu Dmax with license plate BC-55817 was broken into. Stolen from inside were: (1) blue laptop backpack containing a green with grey Macbook pro with cables and HDMI connectors along with a Swedish Passport in the name of Luis OCHOA. Police are investigating.

CITY OF BELMOPAN

KEPT FIREARM AND AMMUNITION WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE

On the 23rd of June 2017 at about 3.10pm, police conducted a search at the residence of George Alexander LOPEZ, 60-year-old of Teakettle Village, for illegal Firearm and ammunition. A small wooden house with zinc roof measuring about 15x15 in size was seen in the same yard locked with a padlock, also belonging to Mr. LOPEZ. A searched inside led to the discovery of a .22 rifle Marlin Brand and  a magazine containing (6) .22 live rounds and one inside the chamber. Police have since arrested George Alexander LOPEZ, Franco AUDINETTE, 37-year-old Driver of Teakettle Village, and Sherese Elizabeth SANTOS, 26-year-old Housewife of Teakettle village.
