BURGLARY

On the 9th of June 2017, Rueben RODRIGUEZ, 49-year-old of Ebony Street, Belize City, reported that between the hours of 10:00pm on the 6th of June 2017 and 5:30am on the 7th of June 2017, his storeroom was broken into. Stolen from inside were electronic items and tools. Police investigations continue.
 
STANN CREEK DISTRICT

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 9th of June 2017 at 8:00am, police were conducting an anti-drugs operation in Dangriga when they searched the residence of Aaron Roy NOLBERTO, 42-year-old of 1554 Rivas Estate. Present at the time of the search was 27-year-old Keadisha FRANCISCO. Two plastic bags containing 1,440.1 grams of cannabis were found in the yard. Police have since arrested and charged Aaron Roy NOLBERTO and Keadisha FRANCISCO for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
 
INTERMEDIATE SOUTHERN FORMATION

BURGLARY

On the 9th of June 2017 at 8:45am, police received information of a burglary at the Toledo Teachers Credit Union situated in the Bella Vista Village, Toledo District, and visited the scene where they saw a wooden door with its metal shutter and steel burglar bars damaged. Further inspection inside the building revealed that the building’s metal safe was damaged and opened. Stolen were approximately $7,088.00 US, $116,575.40, (1) 9mm Glock hand gun with a magazine and (1) Maverick brand pump action 12 gauge shotgun. Investigations revealed that the Acting Branch Manager locked and secured the building around 6:50pm on the 8th of June 2017 and at about 8:40am on the 9th of June 2017, upon reporting for work, he discovered that the building was broken into. Police are investigating.
