DROWNING

At 10:00am on the 4th of June 2017, police visited the Corozal pier on 1st Avenue, Corozal Town, where the body of Acita Milsa FLORES, 44-year-old of Sarteneja Village, was seen inside a skiff in an advance state of decomposition. Investigations revealed that at 5:00am on the 1st of June 2017, Flores and eight other persons left Sarteneja Village in a white and blue 24 ft. skiff en route to Calderitas Village and Chetumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico City, to do some shopping.  At 6:30pm on the 1st of June 2017, they departed Mexico en route to Sarteneja Village and while on the sea, the skiff was hit by a huge wave which caused it to capsize. At 4:30am on the 2nd of June 2017, a search party left Sarteneja Village and found eight survivors in front of Calderitas Village, Mexico, however, FLORESwas not found. At 9:15am on the 4th of June 2017, FLORES’ body was found floating in the sea about ½ mile north of Consejo Village, Corozal District. The body was transported to the Corozal Town Hospital where it was pronounced dead. At 7:52pm on the 4th of June 2017, a post mortem examination was conducted on the body certifying the cause of death as consistent with drowning.

FOUND PROPERTY

At 11:00am on the 4th of June 2017, while police were conducting mobile patrol in the Young Bank Area, Camalote Village, Cayo District, they discovered a black 100cc Meilun motor cycle without license plate, license sticker and serial number.  No one was found in the area. The motor cycle is believed to have been stolen. It was taken to the station and deposited as Found Property.
