ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

HOUSE FIRE

On the 25th of May 2017 at about 1:15am, police visited San Jose Village, Orange Walk District, where a kitchen and bodega were seen engulfed in flames. Ruperto CHI, 78-year-old of San Jose Village, reported that, at about 12:55am, he was awaken by noise outside and upon making checks, he saw the kitchen and bodega on fire. He believes that the fire started from a fire hearth that was left lit. Police are investigating.

BELIZE CITY

ATTEMPT MURDER

On the 25th of May 2017 at about 12:35pm, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Dorien RENEAU, 35-year-old of a Belize City address, suffering from burn injuries to the left arm, left abdomen area and left foot. Investigations revealed that RENEAU was along with three other persons when he was sprayed with a flammable substance by a man he knows and set on fire by another. RENEAU was admitted at K.H.M.H. in a stable condition. Police are investigating.
 
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Jose Wilfredo FUENTES, 25-year-old of a Belize City address, reported that between the hours of 8:30pm on the 2nd of April 2017 and 1:00am on the 3rd of April 2017, his red Yamaha motorcycle valued at $4,000.00 was stolen from where he had parked in front of a night club on King Street. Police are investigating.
 
LADYVILLE

ARSON

On the 25th of May 2017 at about 11:50pm, police responded to a fire at the second entrance of Burrell Boom Village, where they saw two boat moulds on fire. Two burnt tires and a bottle with gasoline were seen on top of the boat moulds. Police investigation continues.
