ARSON
On the 20th of May 2017 at 9:20pm, Orange Walk Police received information of a house on fire at Chips Alley, Louisiana area, Orange Walk Town, and visited the location where they saw an 18 feet by 20 feet plywood house with zinc roofing engulfed in flames. The blaze was eventually put out by fire fighters; however, the house and its content were completely destroyed. Investigation revealed that Roy Bennette MANGAR, 45-year-old of #3 Santa Maria Street, Orange Walk Town, had a misunderstanding with his father, Lyncoln PRATT, 58-year-old Security of a Chips Alley address, whereby Roy MANGAR had threatened to burn down the house. At 8:30pm on the 20thof May 2017, Mr. PRATT, while at work, received a phone call that his son, Roy MANGAR was dismantling his house. He immediately made his way at his residence where he saw Roy MANGAR at the back of the house setting it on fire, which was eventually destroyed. Police have since detained Roy Bennette MANGAR pending charges of Arson.

DRUG TRAFFICKING
On the 21st of May 2017 at 4:30pm, while conducting motorcycle patrol on Mahogany Street, Belize City, police conducted a search on Kareem GORDON, 29-year-old Construction Worker of Causarina Street, Belize City, and found a plastic bag on him which contained 233 grams of cannabis. He has since been arrested and charged for Drug Trafficking.
ARSON
On the 21st of May 2017 at 3:10am, police visited # 279 Starfish Crescent, Belama Phase I, Belize City, where they met Andrew FERGUSON, 28-year-old Teacher, who reported that he was awakened by his wife who told him that someone broke a glass in the house. Upon making checks, Mr. FERGUSON noticed that the corner of the front wall of his house was engulfed in flames. He also noticed a broken bottle and the strong aroma of kerosene. He managed to extinguish the fire. Police are investigating.
DANGRIGA TOWN
AGGRAVATED BURGLARY
On the 21st of May 2017 at 10:10pm, Dangriga Police responded to reports of a robbery at the residence of Derrick PETERS, 68-year-old Retiree of #38 Saint Vincent Street, Dangriga, and visited the location where Mr. PETERS was seen with a cut wound on the left arm, left wrist, swelling to the neck and scratches to the left leg. He reported that at about 10:05pm on the 21st of May 2017, while he was sitting on the veranda of his house, two dark complexion male persons attacked him and relieved him of a gold chain and medal. Police are investigating.
