AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Shirley MEJIA, 41-year-old Domestic of Pinks Alley, reported that. at 9:39pm on the 16th of May 2017, she was standing in front of her house with her daughter and daughter-in-law when she was approached by Davone GILLETT, who cocked what appeared to be a firearm and pointed it towards their direction. Police have since arrested and charged 20-year-old Davone Anthony GILLETT, unemployed of Pinks Alley, Belize City, with Aggravated Assault.
 
DISCHARGING FIREARM IN PUBLIC

Reference the Shooting Incident sent in Police Incident report dated the 17th of May 2017, reported by a 22-year-old housewife of Munoz Alley, police have recovered a metal slug from the scene and have arrested and charged Tyrone YOUNG, 28-year-old Security Guard of Sunflower Street, Belize City, for Discharging of Firearm in Public.
 
ROBBERY

Enrique PATT, 21-year-old Driver for Zeta Purified Water, reported that at 12:00pm on the 17th of May 2017, he was driving the delivery truck on Mahogany Street accompanied by his coworker when he made a stop at the corner of Western Avenue and Mahogany Street, where his coworker went to purchase some fruits from a vegetable stand. He stated that while he was seated in the vehicle, he was approached by two dark complexion male persons who boarded the truck. One of the men then pointed a handgun at him while the other searched inside the vehicle. One of the men then searched him and took his cell phone. They then search his knapsack and took $150.00 after which they made good their escape. Police have since detained a 12-year-old student pending investigations. 
 
TOLEDO DISTRICT

MURDER

At 12:25pm on the 17th of May 2017, police visited the Punta Gorda Hospital where they saw Lacelle MARTINEZ, 36-year-old Belizean Musician of Victoria Street, Punta Gorda Town, suffering from stab wounds to the left side. Police also saw Tiannie FIGUEROA, 20-year-old Domestic of VOA Road, Punta Gorda, suffering from stab wounds to the left leg and left shoulder. Investigations revealed that Simon LINO was driving his red pick-up truck on VOA Road and saw FIGUEROA, with whom he had a relationship with, and inflicted the injuries to her because of jealousy. LINO then drove to Victoria Street where MARTINEZ was staying and inflicted the fatal injuries to him. MARTINEZ managed to make his way to the Punta Gorda Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at 1:02pm on the 17th of May 2017. FIGUEROA was transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital and later to the Southern Regional Hospital where she was admitted as stable. Police are looking for Simon LINO pending investigations.
