ALLOW MOTOR VEHICLE TO BE USED FOR PURPOSE WHICH IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY THE LICENSE
On the 10th of May 2017, at around 4:30pm, police stopped and checked a white Chevrolet Express van that was loaded with goods to be delivered. The vehicle had private license plate. The owner of the vehicle Jin Jian CHEN, 36-year-old Chinese Businessman of Santa Barbara Street, Belize City, was arrested and charged for offense of 'Allow Motor Vehicle to be Used for Purpose Which is Not Authorized by the License'. The driver 28-year-old Juan Manuel ABREGO was arrested and charged for the offense of ‘‘Used Motor Vehicle For Purpose Which Is Not Authorized By The License''.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Kent Alexander THOMPSON, 33-year-old Traffic Warden and Resident of Race Track area, Burrell Boom Village, reported that between the hours of 5:55am and 6:05am, on the 10th of May 2017, someone stole his silver and black Meliun Motorcycle with License Plate Number MC-4522. The motorcycle was parked in front of the gate by the Pound Yard Market located on Cemetery Road, Belize City. Police are investigating.
CROOKED TREE VILLAGE
CULTIVATION OF CANNABIS
On the 10th of May 2017 sometime around 9:30am, police conducted a house search at the residence of Norma ALDANA, 63-year-old of Crooked Tree Village, Belize District. Also present at the house was David ALDANA, 26-year-old Construction Worker. The search led to the discovery of 55 cannabis plants ranging from 11 inches to 3 feet 1 inch in height. As a result, police have arrested and charged Norma and David ALDANA for the offence of Cultivation of Cannabis.

ROBBERY
On the 10th of May 2017 at about 4:00pm, Independence Police responded to a robbery and visited the Charlton’s Cable Office in Bella Vista Village, which also houses the ICB and Western Union office where they received information that Lesli WILLIAMS, 29-year-old Guatemalan Cashier of Bella Vista Village, had already been taken to the Independence Village Poly Clinic for treatment. Investigations revealed that about 3:25pm, WILLIAMS was at her place of work when a male person entered the establishment and told her to hand over the cash. A struggle reportedly ensued between them where the culprit produced a handgun and hit her to the head where the gun went off. He then fled the scene in a blue 4-door D-max that was waiting outside the establishment taking a black metal cash pan containing $300.00, property of Western union, and $252.00, property of the cable company. Police are investigating.
