DRUG TRAFFICKING
On 3rd May 2017, police, with the assistance from Customs Department, found two parcels containing 2,066 grams of cannabis inside a hand bag at the Belize Northern Border Customs/BAHA Vehicular Checkpoint. Police have since detained two persons pending charges.

FOUND PROPERTY
On 3rd May 2017 at about 6:00am, police conducted search on an abandoned lot on Raccoon Street Extension which resulted in the discovery of (3) three plastic bags containing 1210.8 grams of cannabis. No one was in the area and the item was deposited as “Found Property”.
KEPT FIREARM/AMMUNITION WITHOUT A GUN LICENCE
On the 3rd May 2017 at 12:01pm, police were conducting mobile patrol on Arlington Drive, Belize City, when they searched a blue taxi Dodge Caravan which resulted in the discovery of a.38 Special revolver containing 5 live .38 ammunition under the driver’s seat. Police formally arrested and charged Kendale GREEN, 23-year-old Laborer of Antelope Street Extension, Elwin POLLARD, 20-year-old Laborer of North Creek, Aaron FLOWERS, 22-year-old Tour Guide of Lords Bank Road, and Clive SMITH, 57-year-old Taxi Driver of Neal’s Pen Road, Belize City, for the offence of Kept firearm without a gun license and Kept ammunition without a gun license.

On the 3rd May 2017, police conducted search on an empty lot on Antelope St. Extension, Belize City which led to the discovery of two plastic bags containing 6 live .38 revolver rounds in each bag. No one was in the area at the time and the ammunition was deposited as “Found property”.
SAN IGNACIO TOWN
KEPT AMMUNITION WITHOUT A GUN LICENCE
On Wednesday 3rd May 2017 about 8:20pm, police visited the residence of Jose QUINTANILLA on Teck Street, San Ignacio Town. Present at the time were Jose QUINTANILLA, Delwin LOPEZ and Carlos JUAREZ. The search led to the discovery of (2) 380 Auto rounds, (1).35 S&W round and (1) hollow point .38 SUPER live round of ammunition which were found under a mattress. Police arrested and charged the three male persons for Kept Ammunition without a Gun License.
FOUND PROPERTY
On 3rd May 2017 at 11:30am, police conducted a search on an abandoned lot in the Santa Cruz area, Benque Viejo Town, which resulted in the discovery of a .32 revolver with (2) live .765 mm ammunition. No one was seen in the immediate area and the items were deposited as “Found property”.
