BELIZE CITY

FALSE PRETENSE OF A POLICE OFFICER

On the 19th of April 2017 at around 4:30pm, police received information of two male persons acting suspiciously in the vicinity of Publics Supermarket on the Phillip Goldson Highway. They were dressed in what appeared to be police uniforms. The two male persons were approached and observed to be wearing a khaki shirt and long blue trousers with a green streak on the sides resembling the official uniforms of police officers. One of them had on a green belt while the other wore a red belt. They were identified as Dorian BLAIR, 22-year-old of a Gibnut Street address - Belize City, and Barrington SLUSHER, 39-year-old of a Brown Street address - Belize City. In their possession was a black bag containing 10 plastic straps. Upon questioning, it was learnt that both male persons were not members of the Belize Police Department. They have since been detained pending charges of “False Pretense of a Police Officer”.
 
BURGLARY

A 45-year-old woman of 2 1/2 miles George Price Highway reported that between the hours of 4:00pm on the 12th of April 2017 and 11:30am on the 18th of April 2017, her house was burglarized. Stolen from inside her home were assorted household items and Brazilian jewelries. The stolen property has not yet been recovered. Police investigation continues.
 
BENQUE VIEJO TOWN

ESCAPE FROM LAWFUL CUSTODY

On the 19th of April 2017 at around 2:40pm, Henry Abel Calderon GARCIA, 23-year-old Guatemalan Laborer of Caracol Lane - Benque Viejo Town, was reported missing from custody. He was asked to perform cleaning duties and was sent to the faucet located behind the cell block. However, upon checking on him, he was nowhere to be seen. GARCIA had been fined $800.00 for possession of controlled drugs and had other previous convictions. The Public is asked if they have information as to the whereabouts of GARCIA, to contact the nearest Police Station or Benque Viejo Police at 803-2022.
