FOUND PROPERTY

On Tuesday, 11th April 2017 at around 7:20pm, police conducted a search in an open lot at the corner of George and Prince Streets, Belize City, where they found a black plastic bag containing a .38 revolver firearm. No one was in the area at the time of the discovery; therefore, the firearm was labeled as Found Property.
 
SAN PEDRO TOWN

KEPT AMMUNITION WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE

On Tuesday, 11th April 2017 at about 1:30pm, police conducted a search at the apartment of Jimell Paul JEX and Tracy BETANCOURT with the strength of a search warrant for drugs, firearm and ammunition. JEX was then escorted to his apartment room which led to the discovery eight live 9mm rounds. Jimell Paul JEX, 31-year-old of San Pedro Town, was arrested for the offence of “Kept ammunition without a gun license”. Police are looking for Tracy BETANCOURT.
 
DRUG TRAFFICKING

On Tuesday, 11th April 2017 at about 5:30am, police conducted a search at the residence of 30-year-old Marisella Garnett CASEY and 26-year-old Derek Albert LIVINGSTON, of DFC area, San Pedro Town. The search led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing 656grams of cannabis. CASEY, LIVINGSTON and Devon MATTHEW were arrested and charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
