On the 6th of April 2017, police searched an area located west of San Antonio Village which led to the discovery of a red box containing a red handle 9mm Armscor Pistol and a magazine. No one was found in the area and it was deposited as “Found Property”. Police are investigating. 


On the 6th of April 2017, between the hours of 4:00am and 10:00am, police conducted an operation in Trench Town area, Independence Village, where they found three plastic containers containing cannabis amounting to 1,784.8 grams.

On the 6th of April 2017 at about 1:45pm, police visited a farm located about four miles from Cowpen Village, Stann Creek District, where they saw a bungalow house completely destroyed by fire. Victoriano CHACON, 74-year-old Salvadoran Farmer of Cowpen Village and an employee at the farm, reported that at about 8:00am he was working when he was approached by three male persons who had their faces covered. One of them was armed with a shotgun. They demanded to see Javier and then placed him inside a cement culvert that was outside of the house. Two of them left the farm leaving the male person who was armed with the shotgun. The two male persons returned and set the house on fire and left. Javier ORELLANA, 49-year-old Salvadoran Farmer of Cowpen, is the owner of the farm and the house. Police investigations continue.
