KEPT FIREARM WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE and KEPT AMMUNITION A GUN LICENSE

On the 18th of March 2017 at about 4:05am, San Ignacio Police were on mobile patrol on Bullet Tree road when their attention was drawn to Melvin Ray Charles BUDNA, 26-year-old Labourer of San Ignacio Town, who threw away a black object upon seeing the police. He was escorted to the area where police retrieved a black 9mm SIG SAUER containing (3) three live 9mm Lugar G.F.L brand rounds. He was subsequently arrested for the offences of “Kept firearm without Gun License and Kept Ammunition without a Gun License”.

MURDER

On the 17th of March 2017 at 9:00pm, police visited Larios Bar located at the Belize Adjacency Zone area at the Belize Western Border, where they saw Carlos MANZANERO, 40-year-old Belizean Bus Driver of San Jose Succotz Village, seated in a chair with multiple gunshot wounds to his stomach area, right hand and right knee. He was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:20pm. The body of Carlos MANZANERO now lies at the Western Regional Hospital Morgue awaiting a Postmortem Examination. Investigations revealed that on the 17th of March 2017 at about 8:50pm, MANZANERO and other family members were socializing at Larios Bar when he was approached by a Hispanic descent male person who came out of a car with a handgun and started to fire several shots at him and thereafter, entered his vehicle and drove off to Melchor. Police investigations continue.
