BELIZE CITY

FOUND PROPERTY

At 8:32am on the 13th of March 2017, police conducted a search on an abandoned lot at the corner of Jasmine and Flamboyant Street, St. Martins De Pores Area, Belize City, which led to the discovery of a black pen gun. 
 
At 11:30pm on the 13th of March 2017, police conducted a search in an abandoned house at #80 Victoria Street, Belize City, which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 245 grams of cannabis. 
 
At 12.25am on the 13th of March 2017, police conducted a search in an abandoned house on Daly Street, Belize City, which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 109 grams of cannabis.

No one was found in the areas searched and the items were deposited as Found Property.
 
DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 13th of March 2017, while police were conducting patrol on Central American Boulevard they stopped and searched Akeen Joshua RENEAU, 27-year-old Messenger of Belize City, who was riding a bicycle and had a knapsack in his possession. The search led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 465.2 grams of cannabis. RENEAU have since been arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking. 
 
CITY OF BELMOPAN

UNLAWFUL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE

On the 13th of March 2017, a 13-year-old student of Belmopan, accompanied by her mother, visited the Belmopan Police Station and reported that in the month of October, 2016, she was communicating with a male person from Camalote Village, Cayo District, where he asked her to send him nude photographs of herself which she did. She further stated that he then threatened her and told her that if she did not have sexual intercourse with him, he would post the photographs on social media. She further stated that on the 13th of December 2016 and the 21st of December 2016, he had sexual intercourse with her. A medical examination is yet to be conducted on the minor. Police investigations continue.
