FOUND PROPERTY

On the 15th of February 2017 at around 4:26am, police were in the area of Queen Charlotte Street when checks were made in an abandoned lot which led to the discovery of several bags containing 2,654.3 grams of Cannabis. The item was labeled and deposited as Found Property.  
 
On the 15th of February 2017, sometime around at 4:45am, police were in the area of Caesar Ridge when checks were made in an abandoned lot which led to the discovery of an AK 47 rifle with an empty magazine and (1).45 revolver containing (6) .45 live rounds. No one was in the area and as a result the items were labeled and deposited as Found Property.

KEPT UNLICENSED FIREARM

On the 14th of February 2017 at about 5:00pm, while police were conducting mobile patrol on the Green Hills Road in St. Margaret’s Village, Cayo District, they stopped and searched 46-year-old Jose Maria Ignacio MARROQUIN and 57-year-old Carlos Catalino CHIAPAZ, both of St Margaret’s Village, who were on a motorcycle. The search led to the discovery of a 16 gauge New England brand shotgun which they had no license for. As a result, police arrested and charged both men for the offence of “Kept Firearm without a Gun License.”
