LADYVILLE VILLAGE
RAPE
A 25-year-old female of Ladyville reported that on the 3rd of February 2017 at around 4:10am, she was walking from a night club on the Phillip Goldson Highway en route to her home. She stated that upon reaching the bus stop, which is located at about 9 ¼ miles, a dark complexion male person suddenly approached her, pulled her in some bushes and when she resisted he reportedly punched her to the right side of her face. The male person then raped her. Police are investigating.
FOUND PROPERTY
On the 3rd of February 2017 at about 2:30pm, police conducted a search in some bushes at a bus stop in San Hill Village where they found a black plastic which contained one .9mm pistol with a black metal magazine and (1) bronze in color Luger brand live round. The items were deposited as “Found Property”.

SHOOTING INCIDENT
On the 3rd of February 2017 at 6:15pm, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they saw Eletero McKENZIE, 31-year-old of Belize City; suffering from gunshot wounds to the right calf and to the right shin. Initial investigation revealed that, on the 3rd of February 2017 at about 6:15pm, while McKENZIE was standing behind the fence of an unknown alley on Amara Avenue when he saw two unknown male persons approaching him on separate bicycles. One of the male persons then pulled out a firearm and pointed it at him. Fearing for his life, he reportedly started running into the alley when he heard several shots being fired and realized he had been shot. McKENZIE was admitted to ward in a stable condition. Police are investigating.
SHOOTING INCIDENT
On the 4th of February 2017 at about 11:33am, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where Jovanie SUTHERLAND, 30-year-old of Belize City, was seen suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg. Initial investigation revealed that on the 4th of February 2017, SUTHERLAND was along with his co-worker rolling a hose from his septic cleaning truck when he was approached by 2 male persons one of whom was armed with a handgun and pointed it towards him. The male person demanded for him to hand over his gold chain. Fearing his life, Jovanie began to take off his chain and in the process of doing so, the male person shot him. The other person then took possession of the gold chain and they made good their escape. Police are investigating.

On the 3rd of February 2017 at 3:30pm, police conducted a search under a bridge located on McKay Boulevard, Belize City, which led to the discovery of a 12 gauge shotgun. A further search of the area led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 5 9mm rounds of ammunition. No one was in the area at the time of the search and the items were deposited as “Found Property”.
On the 3rd of February 2017 at about 12:30pm, police conducted searches in an abandoned cement structure in Pinks Alley which led to the discovery of two black plastic bags containing 90 grams of cannabis and 11 rounds of live 9mm ammunition. They were deposited as “Found property”.
SAN PEDRO TOWN
HOUSE FIRE
On the 5th of February 2017 at around 12:45pm, San Pedro Police responded to call of a house fire in the San Juan Area of San Pedro Town where they observed a wooden house engulfed in flames. Information received is that the building was occupied by one Calvin YOUNG who wasn’t home. The value of damages and property lost yet to be ascertained.

On the 3rd of February 2017 about 7:15 a.m., police conducted a search in an overgrown lot located on Jewfish Street San Pedro Town where they found a large black garbage bag which contained 29.97lbs of Cannabis. It was deposited as “Found Property”.

UNLAWFUL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE
On the 2nd of February 2017, a 43-year-old father visited the Belmopan Police Station along with his 13-year-old daughter who reported that, on 7th January 2017, she left her home at 1:00am to meet a male person, Jonathan CHE, at his residence where they had sexual intercourse. Medical Examination was conducted on her where doctor certified that she was carnally known. Jonathan CHE, 34-year-old of Belmopan, was arrested and charged for the crime of “Unlawful Sexual Intercourse”.
