FOUND PROPERTY 

Police on anti-drug operations in Bullet tree Village conducted a search in an abandoned lot where they found two (2) black plastic bags containing 545.0 grams of cannabis. It was deposited as “Found Property” since no one was in the area.

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 2nd of February 2017 at about 1:13pm, police searched a house situated on George Price Boulevard, Belmopan, where they found a transparent plastic bag containing 461.0 grams of Cannabis. Zhubin DENG, 25-year-old Businessman of Trial Farm village, Cayo was present at the time of the search. Some monies were also seized which police believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking. DENG was arrested and charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking. 
 
SAN PEDRO TOWN

MURDER

On the 2nd of February 2017 at about 7:15pm, police visited a residence at the corner of Jew Fish and Sea Weed Streets, where on the second floor of the wooden structure they saw Jose Felix AYUSO, 44-year-old Barber of the same address, lying in his bedroom with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Initial investigation revealed that AYUSO was last seen alive, on the 1st of February 2017 at about 4:30pm, at his Unisex Beauty Salon which is situated on Laguna Drive, by his sister. Around 6:30pm, on the 2nd of February 2017, she decided to check on him at his residence when she discovered the body. The body was transported to the San Pedro Poly Clinic where it was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:14pm. The body was later transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Morgue for a post mortem examination. Police investigations continue.
 
BELIZE CITY

MURDER

On the 2nd of February 2017 at about 9:12pm, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw the body of Mark Anthony JONES, 29-year-old of Belize City, with gunshot wounds to the hand, side and back. Investigation revealed that JONES was walking inside his yard when a male person approached and fired several shots at him causing his injuries. JONES was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:22pm. The body now awaits a post mortem examination. Police investigations continue.
 
FOUND PROPERTY

On the 2nd of February 2017 at 6:45am, the Southside Strike Team, Special Branch and K9 unit conducted a search in an abandoned lot in the Faber's Road area which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 2,009.4 grams of Cannabis.
