FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
On the 17th of January 2017 at 7:30pm, police responded to a fatal traffic accident between miles 67 and 68 on the Phillip Goldson Highway, police visited the scene where they saw a Hispanic male person lying face down across the Highway. On the side of the highway was a pink 24 inch beach cruiser bicycle that was completely damaged. Also in the vicinity was a white, sliver and maroon 1991 Blue Bird Bus with damages to its right front side. The bus was being driven by Luciano CABANAS, 50-year-old of Ranchito Village, Corozal District. Investigations revealed that, at about 6:45pm, Mr. CABANAS was driving the bus on the Phillip Goldson Highway when upon reaching between miles 67 and 68 Phillip Goldson highway, a man was riding the bicycle on the right hand side of the road and allegedly made a sudden left turn in front of the bus. As a result, Mr. CABAÑAS reportedly swerved left to avoid hitting the cyclist, but to no avail. The cyclist apparently died on the spot. The body of the unidentified male person was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:50pm. The body now lies at the Corozal Community Hospital morgue awaiting a post mortem examination. Police are investigating.

ROBBERY
On the 17th of January 2017 at around 11:00pm, two male persons entered the Black and White bar on Fonseca Street in Orange Walk where they robbed the establishment using a firearm and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. Quick police response led to the detention of Jamal ELIJIO, 22-year-old of Belize City, who had in his possession of a magazine loaded with fifteen 9mm rounds and $115.00. His accomplice escaped. ELIJIO was escorted to the station pending charges as investigations continue.

MURDER
On the 17th of January 2017 around 8:45pm, police visited Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Jaheem Jamal MAHLER, 15-year-old Student of Belize City, with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, back, face and feet. Investigation revealed that MALHER and a friend were on Iguana Street extension when they were approached by a male person who fired several shots at them fatally injuring MAHLER. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 8:45pm. A search was conducted in the area of where the incident occurred and police found a Black Lugar 9mm pistol in the drain. Police have since detained one person as the investigation continues.
