MURDER            

On the 12th of January 2017 at about 5:00pm, police visited an area by the seaside in the vicinity of miles 3 on the George Price Highway, where they saw the body of Salvador Rivera MARQUEZ, 62-year-old Salvadoran National of Set Site, Belize City, with multiple apparent chop wounds to the head and a cut wound to the left hand. Initial investigation revealed that Mr. MARQUEZ had left home, on the 12th of January 2017 at about 7:30am, to do his routine fishing, but when his family noticed that he did not return they went to his usual fishing location where they found him apparently dead. The body of Salvador Rivera MARQUEZ was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 8:55pm. The body of Salvador Rivera MARQUEZ now lies at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue where it awaits a post mortem examination. Police are investigating.

BURGLARY

Tingju LIU, 31-year-old Chinese Businessman of Family City Shopping Center - located at # 1670 Ecumenical Drive, Dangriga Town, reported that on the 29th of December 2016 between the hours of 9:00pm and 11:30pm, someone broke into his store. Stolen from inside the shopping center were cash amounting to $8,500.00, a Jordan slippers and a red Beats headphone. Shaun Ryan BENNETT, 35-year-old of Dangriga, was apprehended, arrested and charged for the crime of Burglary.
