LADYVILLE VILLAGE
 
AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

Steven WADE, 26-year old of Belize City, reported that on the 5th of January 2017 at 11:45pm, while at his girlfriend’s house in Ladyville Village, he was making his way from the room to the kitchen area when he was approached by a male person dressed in black with a white face mask, black gloves and armed with a handgun. The intruder proceeded to rob them of 2 IPhone 6, (1) black MK brand bag, (1) Kenneth Cole wallet, assorted documents, $250.00 in cash, and the keys for a white 2010 Ford Escape. Thereafter, the male person exited the house and drove off in the complainant’s Ford Escape. Investigations led to the discovery of the 2010 Ford ESCAPE which was completely destroyed by fire. Police investigation continues.

PUNTA GORDA

MURDER

On the 6th of January 2017 at 7:28pm, police responded to a shooting incident in the Indian Ville area and visited Santa Maria Street where they saw Alexander PALACIOS Jr., 35-year-old of Sapodilla Street, lying on the street with a gunshot wound to the back. Investigation revealed that PALACIOS was walking on Santa Maria Street, when two male persons approached him from behind, one of whom fired several shots towards his direction causing his injury. The two unknown male persons then made good their escape. Alexander PALACIOS was transported to the Punta Gorda Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:14pm. The body of Alexander now lies at Punta Gorda Hospital Morgue awaiting a Post Mortem Examination. Police are investigating.
 
HOUSE FIRE

On the 6th of January 2017 at 6:25pm, police responded to a house fire on West Street, Punta Gorda Town, and visited an area on Voice of America Road where they saw a wooden structure with zinc roofing engulfed in flames. No one was in the house at the time of the fire and inquiries revealed that the house is being occupied by two persons. The wooden structure along with all its contents was completely destroyed. Police and Fire Department are investigating.
