LADYVILLE VILLAGE

FOUND PROPERTY

On the 28th of December 2016 at around 1:05pm, while members of the mobile Interdiction Team were conducting vehicle check point on the Phillip Goldson Highway, a search was conducted on a passenger bus which resulted in the discovery of a white school bag containing 474grams of Cannabis. No one claimed the bag, so it was deposited as “Found Property”.
 
BELIZE CITY

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

On the 28th of December 2016 at 8:25am, a 61-year-old man of Belize City, reported that he had loaned his son a motorcycle, a black Lifan motorcycle with license plate MC 4497, which was stolen from in front of his son’s residence on Sybil Reyes Avenue in Belize City. Police are investigating.
 
SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 28th of December 2016 at around 5:40pm, police responded to shots being fired on Jane Usher Boulevard and visited the area and then the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Winston BOWEN, 50-year-old of Belize City, with a gunshot wound to the hip. Police also observed Quincy SMITH, 18-year-old, with gunshot wounds to the thigh and back and Robert GARNETT, 32-year-old, with gunshot injuries to the hip, leg, elbow, arm and neck. Investigations revealed that all three men were working on a vehicle on Jane Usher Boulevard when a perpetrator came and fired several shots at them causing their injuries. They are all listed as stable at the K.H.M.H. Police investigations continue.
 
FOUND PROPERTY

On the 30th of December 2016 at around 9:00am, the South Side Strike Team were operating in the vicinity of Banak Street when they found a .22 handgun with a magazine and 20 X 9mm rounds.
 
On the 29th of December 2016 the South Side Strike Team found a .32 mm handgun in the Racoon Street Extension area and 481.1grams of Cannabis in the Banak Street area.
