BELIZE CITY

THEFT

Murton YOUNG, 41-year-old of Belama Phase1, Belize City, reported that, between the hours of 4:00pm on the 18th of December 2016 and 5:00am on the 19th of December 2016, his grey 60HP Yamaha outboard engine was missing from his skiff which was docked in the canal located behind his house. Police are investigating.
 
SHOOTING INCIDENT

At around 7:00pm on the 19th of December 2016, a 53-year-old man was accosted while in the Lakeview area of Belize City by three masked men who held him at gunpoint and stole his gold chain. The men then made good their escape, but not before firing a shot which grazed the 53-year-old man’s head. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. Police investigation continues.

CITY OF BELMOPAN

STABBING INCIDENT

On the19th of December 2016 at about 9:03pm, police visited Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan where Timoteo PAZ, 70-year-old Guatemalan of Selena Village, Spanish Lookout Community, was seen with multiple stab wounds to the body. Initial investigations revealed that PAZ was socializing at the Guanacaste Bar which is located on the Spanish Lookout road when someone stabbed him. He is listed in a critical condition. Police are investigating.

KEPT AMMUNITION WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE

On 19th of December 2016 at about 8:00pm, police were conducting mobile patrol in Roaring Creek Village where three male persons were seen standing at the corner of a street. However, they ran as the police approached and were pursued by the police. One of them was caught and a search on him led to the discovery of two cartridges. Ari VANZIE, 20-year-old of Roaring Creek Village, was arrested and charged for “Kept Ammunition without a Gun License.”

SAN IGNACIO TOWN

THEFT

Angel Alexander XIS, 19-year-old of San Ignacio Town, reported that on the 19th of December 2016 at about 12:00am, he parked his 2015 white Meilun motorcycle with license plate SIM-00854 in front of his house and at around 7:00am, he noticed that his motorcycle was missing. Police are investigating.
