CITY OF BELMOPAN

FOUND PROPERTY

At 8:30am on the 6th of December 2016, Police conducted a search in an empty lot in Teakettle Village, Cayo District which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 1,238 grams of Cannabis. No one was found in the area and the item was deposited as Found Property.
 
TOLEDO DISTRICT

DROWNING

Clara Coc KOY, 33-year-old Guatemalan Housewife of Jalacte Village, Toledo District, reported that around 12:10pm on the 6th of December 2016, she was serving lunch to her children when she noticed that her youngest son, Samuel KOY, 2 year old, was missing. She was later informed that her son was seen going towards the river which is located about 100yards from her residence. She further stated that upon making checks by the river bank, she saw the motionless body of her son floating in the river. The body was retrieved and transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No sign of violence was observed on the body and no foul play is suspected.
