MURDER
On the 3rd of December 2016, at around 3:45am, police responded to a shooting incident on Hyde Lanes, Belize City, where they saw Dale Anthony TILLETT Sr., 44-year-old Belizean Tour Guide of Belize City, with apparent gunshot wounds to the right side of the neck. Initial investigation revealed that TILLETT was walking on Hydes Lane with a group of friends when two male persons on a motorcycle came from behind and one took out a firearm and fired several shots at him causing the fatal injuries. Also injured in the process was David GARCIA, 28-year-old of Belize City, who received gunshot wounds to the left shoulder. He was transport to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment. Dale Antony TILLETT was transported the K.H.M.H. morgue. Police have since detained four male persons pending investigation of Murder.
MURDER
On the 4th of December 2016, around 1:35pm, police responded to a shooting incident in the vicinity of Cemetery Road and West Street, Belize City, and consequently visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Emmerson SKYERS, 26-year-old of a Belize City, with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was later pronounced dead at 1:43pm. Initial investigations revealed that on the 4th of December 2016, at around 1:30pm, SKYERS was in front a grocery shop at the corner of Orange and West Streets when a white car approached and several shots were fired from within, causing his fatal injuries. Police have since detained 4 men pending investigation.

MURDER
On the 3rd of December 2016, at 7:33am, police visited Teakettle Village where they saw the body of 19-year-old Abner VASQUEZ with injuries to the back of his head and right jaw. Initial investigation revealed that, on the 2nd of December 2016 at 4:00pm, VASQUEZ was socializing at a shop in the village when he left for home and apparently got into an altercation with someone who inflicted the fatal injuries to him. His body was discovered the following morning at 7:33am and was transported to the Western Regional Hospital morgue. Police investigation continues.
CAYO DISTRICT
FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
Police responded to a fatal Road Traffic Accident and visited an area between miles 56 and 57 on the George Price Highway where Marlene WELLINGTON, 56-year-old Resident of San Ignacio Town, reported that at 9:00pm on the 4th of December 2016, she was driving her Mazda mini-van on the George Price Highway and upon reaching between mile 56 and 57, her vehicle ran out of fuel and as a result, she came to a stop on the right hand side of the highway and turned on her hazard lights. She stated that minutes later her son-in-law, David GALIGO, along with Carlos MEDINA arrived. Shortly after a white Chevrolet six wheeler goods truck with Benque Viejo license plates driven by Trinidad De La FUENTE, 26-year-old of Benque Viejo Town, collided into the rear of her van which then hit MEDINA. MEDINA was transported to the San Ignacio Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police investigations continue.
INTERMEDIATE SOUTHERN FORMATION
MURDER
On the 4th of December 2016, at about 2:32am, Independence Southern Formation Police visited San Roman Village, Stann Creek District, at a bus stop where they saw Gabino CHOC, 30-year-old of Stann Creek District, with a large cut wound to the throat. Initial investigation revealed that around midnight on the 3rd of December 2016, he was sleeping on the cement bench at the bus stop when a male person reportedly walked up to him and cut his throat with a machete. The body was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital as investigation continues.
