BELIZE CITY
SHOOTING INCIDENT
On the 9th of November 2016 at about 9:19pm, police responded to a shooting incident on Pinks Alley, Belize City, where Kentroy McKOY 18-year-old of Belize City, was seen suffering from gunshot wounds to the right foot. Investigations revealed that he was socializing on Pinks Alley when a single male person, armed with a firearm, fired (3) shots in his direction, causing said injuries. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was treated and release. Police investigations continue.
DRUG ARREST
On the 10th of November 2016 at about 5:15am, members of the South Side Strike Team and the k-9 unit were on operation when they conducted a search at a residence in Belize City. The searched resulted in the discovery of a black plastic bag containing cannabis, amounting to 50 grams, which was hidden in the zinc fence. Police have arrested and charged Delon HINDS for the Possession of Control Drugs.
FOUND PROPERTY
On the 10th of November 2016, between 4:30am and 10:00am, members of the South side Strike Team and members of the K9 Unit conducted an Anti-Drug Operation on the South Side of Belize City. The operation resulted in the following seizure: (1) 191.1 grams of cannabis discovered on an abandon lot on Kraal Road, (2) 395.6 grams of cannabis discovered on an abandon lot on Antelope Street Extension and (3) 74.8 grams of cannabis discovered on an abandon lot on Arlington Drive.
