ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

MANSLAUGHTER

On the 7th of November 2016 at about 6:30am, Police visited an area after Trinidad Village, Orange Walk District, where they observed the motionless body of Luciano Jose CHI, 71 year old Belizean of Trinidad Village, lying on the ground with head injuries. He was also observed to be bleeding from the ears, nose, and mouth. He had a cut wound to the back of the head. Initial investigation revealed that Luciano Jose CHI was apparently knocked down by a motorcycle that fled the scene. The body was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital morgue where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police investigation continues.

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 7th of November 2016 at 5:30pm, Police conducted a search on Jaguar Street, San Ignacio Town, where a male Hispanic person was seen running behind a house with a black plastic bag in his hand and then observed to have thrown the bag in a nearby yard. The black plastic bag was located and found to contain cannabis. Isaiah Alberto AZUETA, 20 year old Belizean Carpenter of San Ignacio Town, was detained and formally arrested and charged for drug trafficking to wit: 349 grams of suspected cannabis.

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 7th of November 2016 at 5:30pm, Police conducted a search at the residence of Isaiah AZUETA in San Ignacio Town which resulted in the discovery of a black plastic bag on a television stand. The plastic bad was found to contain 7 transparent plastic bags and 6 smaller transparent plastic bags, each containing cannabis. Isaiah Alberto AZUETA and Adelita OCHOA, who both reside at the said address, were detained and formally arrested and charged for drug trafficking to wit: 131grams of suspected cannabis.
