LADYVILLE VILLAGE

MURDER

On the 31st of October 2016 at about 8:05am, acting upon information received of a dead body by the Burrell Boom Road, Ladyville CIB personnel visited Merchant Road where they saw a lifeless body of a dark skin male person with dreadlocks, lying face down in a pool of blood with multiple apparent gun shots to the back of the head. The body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue where he was identified as Jeon Kai PEEBLES, 25 year old Belizean of Belize City. Police are investigating.

PLACENCIA VILLAGE

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 31st of October 2016 at about 4:45pm, whilst Police were on mobile patrol on the south end of Placencia Village, their attention was drawn to one, Randy CHAN who was observed coming from an open lot near his residence. Upon seeing the Police, he threw an object in some nearby grass. He was quickly apprehended and taken to the location where he threw the object. Police found a transparent plastic bag containing a loose green vegetable substance consistent to cannabis. He was then taken to the location where he was seen coming from and under a small piece of board, police found three other parcels of transparent plastic bags which also contained cannabis. The drugs were all weighed together which amounted to 77.5 grams. Randy CHAN, 29 year old Belizean Fisherman of Placencia Village, was escorted to the police station where he is pending charge of “Drug Trafficking”.

SUDDEN DEATH

Marylee Martha GOMEZ, 21 year old Belizean Domestic of Seine Bight Village, visited the Placencia Police Station on the 31st of October 2016 where she reported that, on the 29th of October 2016, between the hours of 8:00pm and 8:30pm, she was at home when she gave her 1 year and 3 months old daughter namely, Marley BLAST, her feed which was wheat and honey Cerelac. Immediately after, she put the baby to sleep. Sometime after 6:00am on the 30th of October 2016, Marylee woke and saw that her baby was not yet awake and decided to wake her. It was then that she noticed the baby was not responding, but lying motionless and appeared to be dead. Blood was observed coming from the nose, but no visible sign of injuries was observed on the body. The body was later transported to Southern Regional Hospital where the baby, Marley BLAST, was pronounced dead.

BURGLARY

Mr. Howell LONGSWORTH, 66 year old Belizean Pastor at the Eagles Nest International Church located at Miles 2 1/2 Phillip Goldson Highway, Belize City, reported that sometime between the hours of 1:30pm on the 30th of October 2016 and 6:23pm on the 31st of October 2016, the Eagles Nest International Church was burglarized. Stolen from therein were: (1) dark grey with multi-color light and digital touch screen Sound craft SI Impact Digital mixer console, (1) dark grey Yamaha MOX8 88 Key Piano work station, (1) black in color Kurzwel PC1X 88 Key piano, (1) black in color QSC RMX 2450 Power amplifier, (1) black in color QSC RMX 1450 power amplifier, (1) black DBX Driver rack PX processor, (1) silver BDX Drive rack PA+ Processor and (1) black kitbag containing assorted cables and microphones. Police are investigating.
