SUDDEN DEATH

On the 18th of October 2016 at 1:45pm, police visited a home in the Bella Vista area, Belize City, the residence of 61-year-old Attorney Michael Clarence E. YOUNG where he was seen with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the right side of temple and an exit wound to the left side. Investigation revealed that around 12:45pm on the said date, Michael YOUNG went upstairs to his bedroom after having lunch and at around 1:00pm, his wife found him apparently dead inside their bathroom. Inside the bathroom, beside his body police found a 9mm pistol that was loaded with (1) one live round inside the chamber and (14) live rounds inside the magazine. A 9mm expended shell was found inside the bathtub of the bathroom. YOUNG was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating.
 
BURGLARY                 

Marlon RITCHIE, 39-year-old Mechanic of Belize City, reported that sometime between 8:30am and 11:20am on the 17th of October 2016, his house was burglarized. Stolen from inside his home were jewelry, electronic items and other miscellaneous items. Police have since recovered some items and are seeking one man as investigations continue.

DANGRIGA TOWN

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 18th of October 2016 at about 8:40pm, police responded to a Shooting Incident on Stann Creek Valley Road, where a woman of Stann Creek Valley Road reported that, while at home around 6:15pm, she heard a vehicle stopped and then heard a single gunshot and saw a male person running to her house. He was identified as Gilroy SANTOS, 58-year-old Taxi Driver of Dangriga Town, who was bleeding from the left shoulder with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital. Police are investigating.

MISSING PERSON

On the 3rd of October 2016, Fedelina Perez AREVALO, 37-year-old Guatemalan Resident of San Ignacio Town, reported that upon waking up around 9:00am, she went to her daughter’s room to check on her and noticed that she was not there. Yamelin, 15 years old, is of clear complexion, slim built, stands about 5 feet tall and has long straight black hair. Police are investigating.
