SAN PEDRO TOWN

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 3rd of October 2016 at about 12:30am, San Pedro Police visited the San Pedro Poly Clinic where they saw 32-year-old Wayne ALLEN with two gunshot wounds to the face. Investigations revealed that on the said date at about 12:15am, ALLEN was presently at home when he heard someone knocking at his front door when upon opening the door he was shot. ALLEN was transported to the San Pedro Poly and later to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for further treatment in a critical, but stable condition.
 
DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 2nd of October 2016 at about 4:10pm, a parcel was checked at the Tropic air Cargo section which resulted in the discovery of two parcels of Cannabis amounting to 950 grams. One person has been detained pending charges.
 
BELIZE CITY

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 3rd of October 2016 at around 5:00pm, police responded to shots fired at the corner of Barrack Road and Victoria Street, Belize City, where information was received that the victim had been transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police then visited the K.H.M.H. where they saw Gion BERNARD, 31-year-old of Belize City, with several gunshot wounds. Investigations revealed that around 4:49pm on the said date, BERNARD was standing by the gate of his residence when a male person on a bicycle came and fired several shots at him causing his injuries.
Police have since detained two men pending charges.
 
FOUND PROPERTY

On the 3rd of October 2016 at about 8:30am, police  visited an unoccupied  residence on Cran Street, Belize City, where they found  two transparent plastic bags containing a white powder suspected to be Cocaine which amounted to  501.6 grams. The substance was labelled and deposited as Found Property.
