ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

BURGLARY

Ettienne HUTCHINSON, 33-year-old of Orange Walk Town, reported that, between the hours of 1:00pm and 8:30pm on the 18th of September 2016, his house was burglarized. Stolen from inside his home were $4,000.00 in cash, a 13" Mac Books, a pair of white Jordan tennis and two pairs of Red Nautica tennis. Police have one person detained and are looking for another as investigation continues.

BELIZE CITY

FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

On the 18th of September 2016, police visited Mile 1 ½ on the Phillip Goldson Highway on the compound of “Dream Light Nightclub” where a blue F150 Ford pick-up truck - registered to British Forces BATSUB - was seen parked facing the Phillip Goldson Highway. Police also observed Jose Chinchilla MOLINA, 43-year-old Salvadoran of Belize City, under the F150 pick-up with head and body injuries. Investigation revealed that MOLINA was socializing in the yard of “Dream Light Nightclub” at Sonia’s Diner with three other male persons when the blue F150 pick-up reportedly reversed at a high speed and knocked down Jose Chinchilla MOLINA and his companions and causing extensive damage to the wooden building. Lee HUMPHREYS, 41-year-old Sergeant British National attached to BATSUB, was identified as the driver of the F150 pickup. The body of Jose Chinchilla MOLINA was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.  Police investigations continue.
 
BENQUE VIEJO TOWN

DRUG TRAFFICKING

On the 18th of September 2016 at about 9:20am, Benque Viejo Police searched a knapsack in the possession of Francisco ALDANA, 25-year-old of Benque Viejo Town, which led to the discovery of 2,270grams (5lbs) of Cannabis. He was arrested and charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
