SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 15th of September 2016 at around 1:35pm, police visited the Belize Medical Associates where they saw 31-year-old Candace ANDERSON suffering from gunshot wounds to the left leg and abdomen. Investigation reveals that, on that same date at around 1:25pm, CANDACE was inside a yard on 7th Street, Belize City, socializing with several persons, when two male persons arrived on a motorcycle. One of the male persons was armed and got off the motorcycle, entered the yard and fired several shots in their direction causing the injuries. Police have since detained three persons in connection with this incident. Candace ANDERSON remains in a stable condition. Police investigation continues.
