SAN PEDRO TOWN

MURDER

On the 8th of September 2016 about 1:50pm, police visited the San Pedro Poly Clinic where Elton POLONIO, 32-year-old of San Pedro Town, was seen with a large open wound to the left side of his chest, two apparent stab wounds to the middle of his chest, abrasion to the left side of his neck and a cut wound to the right hand. Investigation reveals that Elton POLONIO was inside Maya Hardware store on Angel Coral Street where he got reportedly into an altercation with a male person who allegedly inflicted the injuries upon POLONIO. Elton POLONIO was pronounced dead on arrival at 1:40pm. Police are investigating.   

BELIZE DISTRICT

ATTEMPT MURDER

On the 8th of September 2016 about 6:25pm, police visited McKay Boulevard, Belize City, where they saw 37-year-old Jason LONGSWORTH suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower back and the right leg. Investigations revealed that, at about 6:20pm on the said date, LONGSWORTH was talking to his common- law wife at their front door when he was approached by two male persons who fired several shots at their direction causing the injuries. Police investigation continues.
 
SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 8th of September 2016 at about 10:20pm, police met 35-year-old Marvin OTTLEY on Lizarraga Avenue with an apparent gunshot wound. He reported that, at about 10:17pm on the said date, while at home, he heard someone call his name and as he exited his house and went downstairs, he saw a Hispanic descent male person and an East Indian descent male person in the yard. The East Indian descent male person then pulled out a firearm resembling a .22 where a struggle ensued between them for the firearm. During the struggle, he was shot on his left hand. He then ran upstairs and heard several shots fired, but none hit him. Police are investigating.
