ROBBERY
On the 2nd of September 2016, Corozal Police, visited the Corozal Community Hospital where they saw Israel GOMEZ, 48-year-old Business Owner of San Andres village, Corozal District, suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left shoulder. His common-law wife reported that, on the said date at around 1:10pm, while at Saint Jude Block factory located in San Andres village, Corozal District, two young Hispanic men entered the business with firearms and demanded GOMEZ’ money and belongings. One of them searched the drawers and took all the day’s sale which amounted to $1,500, three containers containing coins and Mr. GOMEZ’ chain. However, a struggle ensued where GOMEZ was injured. Police have since arrested and charged Alvan NUNEZ, 19-year-old, and Pedro TUN, 18-year-old; both of Corozal Town, for the crimes of Robbery, Attempted Murder and Wounding.

THEFT
Edwina June KING, 58-year-old Resident at Casa Paradiso North of San Pedro Town, reported that on the 29th of August 2016, she took off her three gold rings and placed them on top of a coffee table inside her room. On the 1st of September 2016, she realized that the rings were missing from her room. Police are investigating.
LADYVILLE VILLAGE
MURDER
On the 3rd of September 2016 at 4:00pm, based on information received of a Murder in Sandhill Village, Belize District, Ladyville Police visited an area between miles 20 and 21 on the Phillip Goldson Highway where they saw 30-year-old Tyrone Bernard DAVIS lying in front of his house with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Investigation revealed that DAVIS was relaxing in a hammock at home when he was approached by an unknown person who fired several shots at him causing his fatal injuries. He was transported to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:55pm. Police have since detained a 19-year-old male pending investigation.

KEPT FIREARM WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE
On the 3rd of September 2016 at 10:30am, police responded to a robbery in progress on the road to Valley of Peace Village, Cayo District, where they met Esdras GONZALES, Driver of Casa Pan Dulce Bakery, who reported that he was robbed and that the robbers escaped on separate motorcycles heading towards valley of Peace Village. Police then headed up the Valley of Peace Road where they saw four male persons on motorcycles. They were searched which resulted in the discovery of a 16-Gauge Shotgun. Police have since detained 36-year-old Felipe POP, 55-year-old Carlo TECK, 40-year-old Lucas CRUZ and 21-year-old Manuel POP; all Belizean Farmers of Valley of Peace Village, pending charges of Kept Firearm without a Gun Licence.
