BELIZE CITY

ATTEMPT MURDER

At 7:00am on the 30th of August 2016, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw Kendale GREEN, 23-year-old of Belize City, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Investigations revealed that, at 6:55am on the 30th of August 2016, GREEN was riding his bicycle on Cork Street heading to work when he was accosted by an unknown male person who inflicted the injuries to him. GREEN was transported to the K.H.M.H. where he was admitted in a stable condition. Police investigations continue.
 
CAYO DISTRICT

FOUND PROPERTY

At 3:00am on the 28th of August 2016, police conducted a search in an overgrown area in Bullet Tree Village, which led to the discovery of a black .25 auto pistol with a magazine containing three live rounds. No one was found in the area and the firearm and ammunition were deposited as Found Property.

STANN CREEK

MURDER

On the 30th of August 2016 at around 7:35pm, police responded to a chopping incident in an area, about a mile and a half on the Coastal Road from its junction with the Stann Creek Valley Road, in the vicinity of a Bus stop where they saw 49-year-old Guatemalan, Arnolfo RAMIREZ, lying motionless with a head wound. Investigations revealed that he was involved in an altercation with one, Gustavo CASTILLO, where RAMIREZ inflicted a chop wound to CASTILLO’s right hand and CASTILLO reportedly then took a piece of iron and hit RAMIREZ on the head causing his injury. RAMIREZ was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:40pm. CASTILLO has since been detained pending charges.
