BELIZE CITY

ATTEMPT MURDER

On the 20th of August 2016 at 6:55pm, police responded to a shooting incident and visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Emergency Room where they saw one Clive ARNOLD, 35 year old Belizean Stevedore of Belize City, suffering from one gunshot wound to the upper right abdomen and one to the right hand. Initial investigation revealed that around 6:50pm on the 20th of August 2016, Clive ARNOLD was walking on Rivero Street, Belize City, when he heard several gunshots and realized he was shot. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he remain in a stable condition. Police investigations continue.

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

On the 20th of August 2016, Adolfo McKOY, 50yrs, reported that about 11:00pm, he opened the house door for one Adajjha GONGUEZ and went back to his bedroom. A moment later, McKOY was approached by one Linsford ACOSTA, who had a chrome revolver in his right hand. He further stated that ACOSTA pointed the gun in his direction and threatened to shoot him, but the gun snapped. As a result, McKOY pushed ACOSTA, who in return hit him to the right side of his head.  

ARREST

Reference the Aggravated Burglary report, police formally arrested and charged LINSFORD ACOSTA, 32 year old Belizean Fisherman, for the crime of Aggravated Burglary.

KEPT FIREARM WITHOUT A GUN LICENSE

On the 21st of August 2016 at about 12:00 midnight, officers on patrol on Cemetery Road conducted a search on one Peter PORTILLO Jr. which lead to the discovery of (1) silver in color .38 Smith & Wesson Revolver, a black hand grip and (5) .38 live rounds for which PORTILLO Jr. could not produce a firearm license. Peter PORTILLO Jr., 28yrs, was formally arrested and charged on the 22nd of August 2016 for Kept Firearm without a Gun License.
