PLACENCIA

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

On the 8th of August 2016 at 3:30pm, a 17-year-old male of Seine Bight Village visited the Placencia Police Station and reported that on the 6th of August 2016 about 7:00pm, while riding his bicycle on the main road in Seine Bight Village, he was approached by a male person who grabbed him causing him to fall off his bike. The male person then reportedly retrieved an object from his trousers resembling a firearm and pointed it at him. Police have since detained a 21-year-old of Seine Bight Village, pending investigation.
 
DROWNING

On the 9th of August 2016 at about 2:30pm, Placencia Police visited the Main Stay Resort pier in the Augustineville area of Seine Bight where 23-year-old Gilbert PAULINO reported that, at around 1:30pm, he and Tedford AUGUSTINE, 36-year-old male also of Seine Bight Village, went fishing some four miles off the Main Stay resort pier in the village in a small canoe. The canoe reportedly capsized and PAULINO managed to reach to shore while Tedford AUGUSTINE went under and did not resurface. A search party was organized but was unsuccessful. Police investigation continues.
 
CAYO DISTRICT

MISSING PERSON

On the 8th of August 2016 at 10:25am, Ura Elizabeth MARTINEZ, 32-year-old of Bullet Tree, reported that 43-year-old Canadian National, Andrew Jonathan MAY, who had hired her to be a house keeper for him in the village of Bullet Tree Falls, had gone missing. MARTINEZ stated that after they arrived at the residence in Bullet Tree Village, MAY went inside his bedroom and began to pack his clothes. Shortly thereafter, he left with a black suitcase and a black knapsack and did not inform anyone of where he was going. He was last seen on the 6th of August 2016 at about 2:00pm and since then no one knows of his whereabouts. Andrew Jonathan MAY is of medium built and clear complexion. Police are investigating.
