BELIZE CITY

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

On the 25th of July 2016, at about 2:45pm, police visited a residence at the corner of 'A' Street and Princess Margaret Drive, Belize City, where 75-year-old Maria SYLVESTRE reported that around 2:30pm on the 25th of July 2016, she was sitting inside her living room on the upper flat of her two storey house talking to her daughter and her son-in-law when two male persons rushed inside the living room. One of the male persons was of Mestizo descent and he was armed with what appeared to be a silver colored handgun. The other male person was of dark complexion and slim built. The perpetrator then pointed the gun at them and ordered the daughter and son-in-law to lie face down on the floor. Ms. Maria stated that they were then robbed of a gold chain, (2) IPhone 6S plus and one Nikon brand camera. The perpetrator then walked into the kitchen and pointed the gun at the maid and took her to the safe and forced her to open it. The perpetrators then took assorted jewelries, $20,000.00US cash and (2) Apple I pads. Also stolen from the maid was her white Samsung galaxy cell phone and a white IPhone 5S. The two perpetrators then ran down the steps where they met and assaulted the care taker. Both assailants ran down Princess Margaret Drive making good their escape. A white Iphone 5S was recovered on St. Matthews Street. Police investigations continue.

FOUND PROPERTY

On the 25th of July 2016 at 2:45pm, police conducted a check point at Warrie Head near Ontario Village, where a search was conducted on a passenger bus which led to the discovery of a black Everest school bag on the last seat containing 304 grams of Cannabis. The items were labeled as Found Property.
 
SAN IGNACIO TOWN

BURGLARY

Errie Anthony MANZANERO, 33-year-old of Bullet Tree Falls Village, reported that sometime between 5:00am and 11:40pm on the 24th of July 2016, someone broke into his home and stole (1) single action Stevens Shotgun; one (1) single action 20 Gauge Rossi Shotgun; (1)  brown “Crossman” pellet gun and other items. Police have since recovered all items and have detained two persons, pending charges.
 
FOUND PROPERTY

On the 24th of July 2016, at about 5:30am, members of the Mobile Interdiction Team were on patrol in San Ignacio Town, when they conducted a search on a passenger bus at the intersection on Savannah Road, which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 842 grams of Cannabis. It was taken and deposited as Found Property.
 
ROARING CREEK VILLAGE

BURGLARY

William GRIMSHAW, 25-year-old Businessman presently residing in Camalote Village, reported that between the hours of 11:30am and 8:00pm on the 24th of July 2016, his residence was burglarized. Stolen from inside his home were (1) 9 mm Ruger P95 pistol and (17) live 9mm rounds; (1) blue and black HP laptop; (1) white and black Samsung Tablet; (1) Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet with keyboard and (1) silver necklace. Police investigation continues.
