BELIZE DISTRICT

FOUND PROPERTY

At 5:30am on the 15th of July 2016, police conducted a search in an empty lot in the Conch Shell Bay area, Belize City, which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 364.5 grams of Cannabis. At 6:40am, police conducted a search in an abandoned lot on Rivero Street, Belize City, which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 154.4 grams of cannabis. No one was found in the area and the drugs were deposited as Found Property.
 
BURGLARY

On the 16th of July 2016 at 12:30pm, police visited a residence on Scallop Avenue, Belize City, where Byron ARNOLD, 26-year-old Auto Dealer of Belize City, reported that sometime after 9:00pm on the 15th of July 2016 and 12:30pm on the 16th of July 2016, his mother-in-law’s house was burglarized. Stolen from inside were assorted jewelry, (1) black 52 inch TCL flat screen television and (1) Black Dell Laptop. Police investigations continue.
 
FOUND PROPERTY

On the 16th of July 2016 at 6:00am, police conducted a search in an abandoned house located on Daly Street, which led to the discovery of a mayonnaise bottle that contained 500 grams of Cannabis. 
 
ARREST

Reference the Murder of Roger BANNER which occurred on the 9th July 2016; on the 18th of July 2016, police formally arrested and charged Ronlee PETILLO, 28-year-old of Belize City for the Crime of Murder.

CITY OF BELMOPAN

MURDER

Reference the Murder Report sent in Police Incident Report dated the 17th of July 2016; at 8:45pm on the 15th of July 2016, police visited an establishment located in the Industrial Site area of Belmopan where Police conducted a search on a male person who identified himself as 46-year-old William MASON AKA Ted AOELLETT, who at the time was accompanied by 20-year-old Ernest CASTILLO, 29-year-old Keron FERNANDEZ, Ashton VANEGAS and 30-year-old Terence FERNANDEZ. The identity of the deceased was identified to be 47-year-old Llewellyn LUCAS. All persons have since been arrested and charged for Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Kidnapping and Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping.
 
ROBBERY

A 29-year-old Cashier of Belmopan City reported that at 5:50pm on the 15th of July 2016, she was inside the Income Tax Department Building located on Trinity Street, City of Belmopan, along with some co-workers when three male persons entered the building, two of whom were dressed in camouflage clothing. One of the male persons reportedly pointed a handgun towards a police officer who was performing security duties at the Income Tax Department. It was stated that the cashier, her co-workers and the police officer were then tied up and their mouths were taped with duct tape. One of the men then proceeded to the cashier section and took the cash which was collected at the office for the day. 
One of the assailants then took the cashier’s purse, $400.00 in cash, her social security card, a purse from one of her coworkers and a social security card. The men also took the police officer’s .38 revolver which contained (5) .38 live rounds and his police issued headdress. Police investigations continue.

MISSING PERSON

On the 17th of July 2016, Jefferson ALBANEZ, reported that, on the 16th of July 2016,  his ex- common law wife, Roxanna QUIROZ, left her house with his 7-month-old baby Mydon ALBANEZ and has not returned. Roxanna is of Hispanic descent, about 5 feet 4 inches in height, slim built, fair complexion and has straight long black hair. Mydon, is of fair complexion, chubby built, narrow face and has black hair. If seen please contact the nearest police formation.
