ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

THEFT

On the 20th of June 2016, Adelina JUCHIM, 24-year-old of San Jose Village, Orange Walk District, visited the Orange Walk Police Station and reported that, at about 11:00am on the same date, she made a land transaction for the amount of $30,000.00. An advance of $7,000.00 was paid to her which she placed inside a grey ladies sling bag that she had inside her room. She reportedly then went to the kitchen to cook; leaving Urbano Benedicto VASQUEZ inside the house, however, VASQUEZ took the $7,000.00 from the purse and ran away from the house. Police are looking for Urbano Benedicto VASQUEZ as investigation continues.

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On the 22nd of June 2016 at about 9:30pm, police responded to a shooting incident on Branson Avenue, Burrell Boom Village. Police arrived at a residence and spoke with one, Eugene HENDERSON, who stated that between 9:00pm and 9:30pm while on his verandah he saw a male person going under his house. Upon inquiring who he was and what he wanted, the male person pulled out a firearm and tried to fire, but the gun jammed about three times and the male person ran towards the front of the house. That was when the gun went off and about four shots were fired hitting the front portion of the house. The male person then ran through the gate and went towards the Boom Hattieville road where he got on a motorcycle and made good his escape. Police are investigating.
