BELIZE CITY

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT                                

Noel CAL, 20-year-old of Belize City, reported that on the 8th of June 2016 at 4:45am, he was walking on Youth for the Future Drive, Belize City, heading towards Vernon Street, when a male person passed him and stopped about 20 feet away. The male person then took out a chrome colored firearm from his waist and pointed at him, firing a single shot in his direction. CAL then ran unto Ebony Street, Belize City, unhurt. Police are investigating.
 
HATTIEVILLE VILLAGE

BURGLARY

Denise SMITH, 37-year-old of Western Paradise Village, reported that on the 7th of June 2016 at 5:30am, she left her green cement bungalow house secured and went to Belize City. Returning from Belize City at about 6:30pm, she discovered that her house burglarized. Stolen from inside her home were electronic items, footwear, clothing, household items and assorted liquors. Police are investigating.

SAN IGNACIO TOWN

DISCHARGE FIREARM IN PUBLIC

On the 9th of June 2016 at about 11:00pm, information was received of a male person who had discharged a firearm in front of Mariana's bar located on Blue Bird Street, San Ignacio Town, and had left the area in a brown Ford Explorer heading towards Bullet Tree Road. As a result, police made checks where they observed a brown 4-door Ford Explorer that had ran off the road and into a drain. The vehicle was observed to have damages to the front portion and to its windshield. The driver of the Explorer, Juan GONZALEZ, 36-year-old Contractor of Duck Run 1 Village, Cayo District, appeared to be intoxicated. Further checks in the Explorer led to the discovery of a black 9mm Glock pistol, a magazine with 7 live 9mm rounds and (1) live 9mm round in the chamber. Police also visited in front of Mariana's bar where they observed (7) expended 9mm shells. Juan GONZALEZ was detained pending charges.
