DRUG TRAFFICKING
On the 2nd of June 2016, between the hours of 4:30pm and 7:30pm, South Side Strike Team along with Special Branch conducted an operation in the Southside of Belize City which included a house search on Mahogany Extension. The house being the residence of Clifford SAVERY, which resulted in the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 84.1 grams of Cannabis. Present at the time of search were 30-year-old Clifford SAVERY, 34-year-old Kareem THOMPSON and 29-year-old Nioka SMITH. They were jointly charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
FOUND PROPERTY
South Side Strike Team and the Special Branch conducted an operation in the Southside of Belize City, between 5:30am and 8:00am on the 2nd of June 2016. The operation resulted in the discovery of (35) 9mm Luger Brand live rounds, (3) 9mm WMA Brand live rounds, (3) 9mm S&B Brand live rounds and a 9mm Luger brand pistol; all found in an open lot on Cedar Street. On Vernon Street in an open lot, police also found a .38 special pistol, a single .38 special round and (50) 9mm Luger rounds.
On the 2nd of June 2016 at 9:00am, police conducted a search in a white and blue wooden structure located in the Pinks Alley area which led to the discovery of an orange and white plastic bag which contained 308 grams of Cannabis.
On the 2nd of June 2016 at about 4:55pm, police conducted a search on an open lot on Lovely Lane and found a white foam cup that had in it a black plastic bag which contained 118 grams of Cannabis.

SHOOTING INCIDENT
On the 2nd of June 2016 at around 10:05pm, police responded to a shooting incident on Colombia Street, Salvapan area, at the residence of 39-year-old Russell ARNOLD, who reported that he was inside his house along with his wife and their four children when he heard several gunshots being fired and was not aware that his house was the target. When he heard the bullets hitting his house, he reportedly ducked and immediately felt blood coming from his forehead. He then immediately called for assistance. Police are investigating.

FOUND PROPERTY
On the 2nd of June 2016 at about 3:25pm, police conducted a search in an overgrown lot in the Shawville area, Cayo District, which led to the discovery of a 9mm pistol with 1() metal magazine containing (3) 9mm rounds of ammunition under some dry leaves.
