GRIEVOUS HARM

Agustin CARLOS, 59 year old Belizean Cane Farmer of Progresso Village, reported that on the 15th November 2014 at about 6:00pm, he went over to a cool spot situated near his house where he saw his nephew, Israel CARLOS, 24-year-oldResident of the same village, lying down on the ground motionless. In the vicinity, he saw 3 male persons armed with a piece of stick and machetes. He then tried to render assistance to his nephew. He saw one of the male persons advanced towards him and then hit him on the left side of the head with a stick, causing a large cut wound. He then saw another male person, armed with a machete, approach him. The person then chopped him on the right side of his head, causing a large cut wound. The three male persons then left the area. Abisai LINO, 22yrs, and Charlie LINO, 18yrs, both of Progresso Village, have since been jointly charged for the crime of Grievous Harm. Corozal Police are currently continuing this investigation as more charges are expected to be levied upon the (3) male persons in regards to the injuries sustained by Israel CARLOS.
