FOUND PROPERTY
On 10th November 2014 at 8:45am, a team of Police officers and BDF Soldiers conducted foot patrol about 600 meters from Tree Tops observation post where they observed (2) male persons walking on a track. The patrol shouted for them to stop, but one of the male persons dropped what appeared to be a shotgun and both of them made good their escape into the bushes at Santa Cruz Village, Guatemala. The patrol made checks and found a home-made 16 gauge shotgun with brown handle and brown stalk without brand or serial number; it was deposited as Found Property.
BELIZE CITY
HOUSE FIRE
Acting upon information received on the 12th of November 2014, at about 12:15am, of a house fire on Maskall Street in Belize City, Police visited the location where they observed that (4) houses were inside the yard. Two of which were engulfed in flames, which subsequently spread to the other houses. One (1) was a wooden house with zinc roofing, belonging to Linton MASKALL, 40 year old Security; (1) was a green in color wooden house with zinc roofing, belonging to Carol MASKALL, 37 year old Domestic Worker; (1) was a white in color wooden house with zinc roofing, belonging to Marlon MASKALL, 38 year old; and the other was an unpainted wooden house with zinc roofing, belonging to Gilbert MASKALL, 31 year old Tour Guide. The house along with its contents belonging to Mr. Linton MASKALL and the house belonging to Carol MASKALL were totally destroyed by fire. The houses belonging to Marlon MASKALL and Gilbert MASKALL were partially damaged by the fire. Initial investigation revealed that Linton MASKALL left his house sometime around midnight and upon returning a few minutes after, he met his house engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished by Fire Department personnel. No one was injured in the incident. Police are investigating.
