ORANGE WALK TOWN

BURGLARY

On 9th November 2014 at 11:31am, Bolbino Edrian CAMARA, 41 year old Belizean Prosthetic Technician of Orange Walk Town, reported that between the hours of 5:00pm and 10:00pm, his housed was burglarized. Stolen from inside his home was a black and silver 9mm SR9 Rugger Brand. Police are investigating.

BELIZE CITY

On 8th November 2014 at about 9:10am, police visited a residence on Causarina Street, Belize City, where a male person identified as Ernel Kenroy YOUNG, 40 year Belizean of Belize City, was seen motionless, lying face up on a bed inside a bedroom with an apparent gunshot wound to the center of the forehead. The body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The body now lies in wait of a postmortem examination. Police investigation continues.

BELMOPAN CITY

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On 7th November 2014 at 8:00pm, Police visited the Western Regional Hospital where they observed Jose ABREGO, 47 year old Belizean Foreman of Saint Margaret’s Village, suffering from 3 apparent gunshot wounds: (1) to the left side of his abdomen, (1) to the right side of the abdomen and (1) to the left side of his leg. Initial investigations reveal that, on 7th November 2014 at 7:00pm, ABREGO was exiting his workplace at Blue Mountain Ranch on his motorcycle when he saw a male person - dressed in camouflage clothing with a hood over his head - across the Hummingbird Highway. The male person fired shots at him causing the injuries. Police investigations continue.

STABBING INCIDENT

On 7th November 2014 at 10:30pm, Police visited the Western Regional Hospital where they saw Anthony LESLIE, 26 year old Belizean Assistant of Belmopan City, suffering from a stab wound to the upper right side of chest. Initial Investigation revealed that while LESLIE was at the Emergency Ward about to receive treatment, Josimar ECHAVARRÍ, of Ontario Village, whom he had chopped earlier in an altercation at Ontario Village, approached him with a knife and caused the above mention injury. Police investigations continue.

BENQUE VIEJO TOWN

ROBBERY

On 7th November 2014 at 12:20pm, Police visited #68 Supermarket situated in the Hills of Promise Area, Benque Viejo Town, where Xue Bing CHEN, 40 year old Businesswoman of the above mentioned address, reported that at 11:40am she was selling at her shop when two Hispanic male persons entered. One of the men then took out a revolver from his pants waist and demanded money from her. Fearing for her life, she handed over $25.00 in cash. The assailants then made good their escape. Police have since arrested and charged Victor HOWE, 18 year old Belizean of Hills of Promise, for the crime of Robbery.

DANGRIGA TOWN

UNLICENSED FIREARM AND AMMUNITION

On 8th November 2014 at 2:56am, Police conducted a house search at #2469 2nd New Site Area which resulted in the discovery of a blue and red Superman brand knapsack which contained a black .32 caliber auto pistol with magazine and a single 7.65 round. Present at the time of the search were Linda USHER, 41 year old Belizean Domestic of Dangriga Town; Troy AUGUSTUS, 19 year old Belizean of Belize City; Israel USHER, 18 year old Belizean of Belize City; Nanegie LEWIS, 18 year old Belizean; and a 16 year old minor. All five occupants were arrested and charged for the offence of Kept Firearm without a Gun License and Kept Ammunition without a Gun License.

INDEPENDENCE VILLAGE

SUICIDE

On 8th November 2014 at 2:25am, Everaldo SHAL, 22 year old Belizean Teacher of Santa Rosa Village, reported that on 7th November 2014 at 11:00pm, he went to Joe’s Bar where he saw his brother, Ervilio Juan SHAL, 20 year old Belizean Bartender of Santa Rosa Village, and Pedro SHAL drinking some beers. Everaldo then joined them. At 11:30pm, Ervilio left en route to his house and at 12:30am on 8th November 2014, Everaldo arrived at his house and saw his brother hanging from a beam in an unconscious state. Ervilio Juan SHAL was taken to the Independence Poly Clinic where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The body was taken to the Southern Regional Hospital where it awaits a postmortem examination.
