COROZAL DISTRICT

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Pauline GIBSON, 41 year old of 3rd Street South, Corozal Town, visited the Corozal Police Station and reported that on 16th October 2014 at 8:14pm, she was at home when her ex-common-law husband, Erick LOCKE, approached her and broke her chain off her neck. A struggle then ensued between them and as a result Erick LOCKE took out what appeared to be a hand gun, pointed at her and threatened her. He then fled the scene. Police are looking for Erick LOCKE for questioning.
 
BELMOPAN CITY
 
BURGLARY

Gadsby RAMOS, 75 year old Belizean of Belmopan City, reported that between the hours of 9:00pm on 15th October 2014 and 5:30am on 16th October 2014, while he and his wife were upstairs sleeping his house was burglarized. Stolen from inside his home were an assortment of jewelry, a kitchen knife and a cellphone. Police are investigating.       

STANN CREEK DISTRICT

ROBBERY /UNLICENSED FIREARM

On 16th October 2014 at about 9:35pm, Stefan ZEISS, 27 year old German Tourist, reported that at about 9:30pm, he was in the company of his common law wife, walking on St. Vincent Street in Dangriga Town when they were attacked by two male persons of dark complexion. One produced a hand gun pointed it at them and demanded money. Stefan ZEISS was then robbed of his grey wallet containing $100.00 in different denominations and both their personal identification cards and other documents.  No one was injured. A quick Police response led to the apprehension of both culprits; a search on one of them led to the discovery of (.22) pistol. All items reported stolen were recovered. Police have detained an 18 year-old and 19-year-old, both of Belize City, pending investigation of Robbery and Possession of Unlicensed Firearm.
 
POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

On 16th October 2014, between the hours of 2:30pm and 5:00pm, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Ilda Lizeth ALDANA, 33 year old Guatemalan of Independence Village, where the cause of death was certified as Traumatic Shock due to multiple injuries as a consequence of gunshot wounds to the head and trunk.
