BEES ATTACK
Acting on information received, on 13th September 2014 at 1:00pm, police visited the Corozal Community Hospital where they saw the body of Gilberto MANZANILLA, 66 year old Naturalized Belizean of Paraiso Village, who apparently sustained multiple bee stings. Initial investigation revealed that at about 11:45am, Mr. MANZANILLA was riding his bicycle on a street near the cemetery of the village when he was attacked by a swarm of African Bees. The death certificate certified his cause of death as Cardio Respiratory Arrest due to multiple bee stings.
SAN PEDRO TOWN
HOMICIDE
On 13th September 2014 at about 11:00pm, San Pedro Police visited the San Pedro Poly Clinic where they saw the body of a male Hispanic person, identified as Moses COC, 31 year old Belizean Salesman of San Pedro Town. Initial investigation revealed that, on the same date, sometime after 10:00pm, COC was walking along with a friend on Swan Street when they were attacked by a male person. COC was hit on the head with a piece of wood by the attacker. COC was then picked up and transported to the clinic where he succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at 11:10pm. Police have detained a 26-year-old Construction Worker of San Pedro Town, pending investigation. The body now awaits a postmortem examination.
BELIZE DISTRICT
ARSON
The Manager for J.E.C., Belize City, reported that on 13th September 2014 at about 8:30pm, he parked his grey 2008 Toyota Tacoma bearing license plates number BC-C-38171 in front of his apartment on Youth for the Future Drive, Belize City. On 14th September 2014 at about 2:00am, he was awakened by the Security Guard for J.E.C. Company. He was informed that his vehicle was on fire. He went down stairs to make check, however, the Security Guard had already put out the fire. Police have detained two persons pending investigation.
HOMICIDE
On 12th September 2014 at about 8:00pm, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where the body of Paul MORGAN, 40 year old Belizean Construction Worker, was seen with apparent gunshots to the head, chin and left eye. Initial investigation revealed that on the same date at about 7:55pm, Paul MORGAN was seated in his green and white Ford Explorer which was parked on Kings Street, Belize City, when a lone gunman riding on a bicycle, approached the vehicle from behind and fired several shots causing his injuries. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 8:10pm. The body now lies at the morgue awaiting a postmortem examination. Police are seeking one man pending investigation.
